Yes, most heaved posts can be fixed. Minnesota's deep ground freeze pushes shallow posts up out of the ground a little more each winter. We pull the post, dig the hole deeper, and reset it below the frost line so the freeze cannot grab it again. If the post itself has rotted or snapped, we replace it and set the new one at the proper depth.
